Tatra Defence Vehicle is bringing its brand-new wheeled infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), the Pandur EVO, to the dynamic display. Building on the concept of the outgoing Pandur II, it has been fully developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic by Tatra Defense Vehicle. This eight-wheeled amphibious vehicle is designed to carry infantry troops into battle and provide them with subsequent fire support. Compared to its predecessor, it offers enhanced crew protection, a more powerful engine, and a new multifunctional turret. The Army is considering its acquisition as a replacement for the aging Pandur II fleet.

The joint display will feature the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank and the TITUS KOVS wheeled armored command and communications vehicle. Although both serve with the 7th Mechanized Brigade, their roles differ significantly. Armed with a 120 mm cannon, the Leopard is designed to destroy armored targets, enemy troops, and low-flying aircraft. The Czech Army received several Leopard 2A4s as a donation from Germany in return for its support to Ukraine, and it also plans to acquire the latest Leopard 2A8 variant, which will likewise appear in the dynamic display. The TITUS KOVS, on the other hand, ensures a seamless flow of information between command posts and deployed units. It is built on a chassis manufactured by the Czech company Tatra Defense Vehicle.

The pilots of the NH90 TTH multirole helicopter from Germany’s Helicopter Regiment 10 will once again present their iconic light display, featuring a combat flare release. The European NH90 TTH – short for “Tactical Transport Helicopter” – was developed at NATO’s request to provide a medium-class combat helicopter capable of operating over water. Today, it is in service with 14 nations worldwide and will also be part of the NATO Days static display, where visitors will have the chance to view it up close.

The solo display of the German transport giant A-400M Atlas has always been one of the highlights of NATO Days. Captain Thomas Kompalla pushes his aircraft to its limits, showcasing the maximum maneuverability of this 80-ton, four-engine high-wing plane. A key factor is the so-called counter-rotating propellers, which significantly improve the Atlas’s flight characteristics and enable it to operate on short and unpaved runways. Visitors will also be able to compare this performance with that of the smaller Italian C-27J Spartan, equally renowned for its outstanding agility. The German A-400M Atlas will also be featured in the static display, giving visitors the chance to see it up close.

The Ceremonial Unit of the Prague Castle Guard will make its debut at NATO Days. Its performance will open the 25th NATO Days in Ostrava & 16th Czech Air Force Days. Alongside a festive marching display, the unit will present the precise handling and perfectly timed spins of historic weapons. In addition to the main performance on the dynamic display grounds, the unit will also appear at the smaller D02 area, where visitors will have the chance to watch the entire choreography up close. At the Castle Guard stand, members of both the motorcycle and ceremonial units will be available to answer any questions about their service. Both units will perform exclusively on Saturday.

In contrast, the CV90 is designed for transporting and deploying troops — it can carry up to 8 fully equipped soldiers — and then providing them with fire support.

This year, the Prison Service of the Czech Republic will once again present its traditional demonstration of an escort convoy ambush. It is an adrenaline-filled experience in which, following a sudden breakdown of the escort bus, a group of armed attackers attempts to free their comrade. Thanks to the excellent training of the Prison Service officers, the threat is systematically neutralized. The operation is also supported by service dogs and their handlers. At the end of the demonstration, the entire convoy’s vehicles will be showcased in several passes, led by the escort buses used for coordinated prisoner transport.

This twin-engine supersonic multirole fighter is renowned for the thunderous roar of its engines. In the Czech Army, the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle will replace the outdated and retiring Soviet-era BVP-2s. It will be presented in a dedicated display by BAE Systems. An adrenaline-packed performance has been prepared for visitors by the 7th Mechanized Brigade “Dukelská” together with the 91st Information Warfare Group. They will carry out a coordinated attack on enemy positions, breaking through defensive lines and then demonstrating the treatment and evacuation of a wounded soldier from combat. The display will feature the retiring BVP-2 vehicles and the brand-new H-1 system aircraft from the 22nd Helicopter Air Base, making their very first appearance at NATO Days. The “acoustic cannon” LRAD will provide the psychological warfare element.

After 13 years, one of the world’s most prestigious aerobatic teams — the British Red Arrows — returns to Mošnov Airport. The entire team consists of more than 100 members, divided into the “Blues,” made up of ground crew and engineers, and the “Reds,” the highly trained pilots with extensive Air Force experience. After fast-roping from the helicopter, ground forces launch an operation to break through enemy positions and free the captive. Once the mission is successfully completed, the unit, together with the rescued person, departs to safety.

For the first time since 2016, the German Air Force is sending its Eurofighter Typhoon for a dynamic display at NATO Days. Michael “BAMBAM” Schaudienst will take control and, in a ten-minute demonstration, showcase the flight capabilities of his aircraft powered by its two thunderous engines. Visitors will also have the chance to compare it with the earlier performance of the Italian F-2000A.
