This aircraft is renowned for its versatility – capable of transporting personnel or cargo, taking part in rescue missions, or providing fire support to ground forces. The Slovak Black Hawk will appear in the flying display at the event for the fourth time.

Building on the concept of the outgoing Pandur II, it has been fully developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic by Tatra Defense Vehicle. This eight-wheeled amphibious vehicle is designed to carry infantry troops into battle and provide them with subsequent fire support. Compared to its predecessor, it offers enhanced crew protection, a more powerful engine, and a new multifunctional turret. The Army is considering its acquisition as a replacement for the aging Pandur II fleet.

In Slovenian service, the “Swift” is used both as a trainer and as a light attack aircraft with electronic warfare capability. Audiences appreciate it above all for its excellent maneuverability, which Captain Regali will demonstrate to the fullest in his dynamic display.
09:30	09:40	Leopard 2A4 & Titus KOVS 7th Mechanized Brigade 09:30 - 09:40 Leopard 2A4 & Titus KOVS 7th Mechanized Brigade The joint display will feature the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank and the TITUS KOVS wheeled armored command and communications vehicle. Although both serve with the 7th Mechanized Brigade, their roles differ significantly. Armed with a 120 mm cannon, the Leopard is designed to destroy armored targets, enemy troops, and low-flying aircraft. The Czech Army received several Leopard 2A4s as a donation from Germany in return for its support to Ukraine, and it also plans to acquire the latest Leopard 2A8 variant, which will likewise appear in the dynamic display. The TITUS KOVS, on the other hand, ensures a seamless flow of information between command posts and deployed units. It is built on a chassis manufactured by the Czech company Tatra Defense Vehicle.

The European NH90 TTH – short for “Tactical Transport Helicopter” – was developed at NATO’s request to provide a medium-class combat helicopter capable of operating over water. Today, it is in service with 14 nations worldwide and will also be part of the NATO Days static display, where visitors will have the chance to view it up close.

Developed in 1937, its primary role was to deploy light and medium artillery pieces to locations inaccessible to other military vehicles. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view it up close in the static display area and appreciate the engineering expertise of the Italian technical school.

They will be supported by service dogs and horses, showcasing the excellent work of the force’s canine and mounted units. Visitors can also stop by the Ostrava Municipal Police stand to learn more about their service.
10:15	10:25	Tiger German Army 10:15 - 10:25 Tiger German Army Captains Kotnik “KOTTY” and Hoos “MARIO” from the German Army’s Combat Helicopter Regiment 36 will deliver the premiere display of the EC-665 Tiger attack helicopter at NATO Days. Designed primarily to provide air support to ground forces, this platform has seen extensive use during deployments in Afghanistan and Mali. Its unique design, which incorporates stealth-supporting features, can also be examined up close in the static display area.

As an independent component of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, the Castle Guard is tasked with escorting and protecting the country’s highest officials as well as foreign dignitaries. Their performance has always earned resounding applause from the audience at our event. Immediately following the display, the ceremonial unit will make its premiere appearance. Both units will be featured exclusively on Saturday.

Captain Thomas Kompalla pushes his aircraft to its limits, showcasing the maximum maneuverability of this 80-ton, four-engine high-wing plane. A key factor is the so-called counter-rotating propellers, which significantly improve the Atlas’s flight characteristics and enable it to operate on short and unpaved runways. Visitors will also be able to compare this performance with that of the smaller Italian C-27J Spartan, equally renowned for its outstanding agility. The German A-400M Atlas will also be featured in the static display, giving visitors the chance to see it up close.

Its performance will open the 25th NATO Days in Ostrava & 16th Czech Air Force Days. Alongside a festive marching display, the unit will present the precise handling and perfectly timed spins of historic weapons. In addition to the main performance on the dynamic display grounds, the unit will also appear at the smaller D02 area, where visitors will have the chance to watch the entire choreography up close. At the Castle Guard stand, members of both the motorcycle and ceremonial units will be available to answer any questions about their service. Both units will perform exclusively on Saturday.

Since 2008, this award has been given to a selected unit or division that has made a significant contribution to organizing the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days event. The Operational Unit of the Municipal Police Ostrava is best known at our event for its traditional demonstration of interventions against public order violators with the help of service dogs and horses.

At the event, they will be presented by KNDS (Leopard 2A8) and BAE Systems (CV90). The Leopard combines high firepower, mobility, and protection. In contrast, the CV90 is designed for transporting and deploying troops — it can carry up to 8 fully equipped soldiers — and then providing them with fire support.

It will take part in the dynamic display in its new color scheme, flown by Aero Vodochody test pilot Vladimír Továrek. The L-39 Skyfox has been built and configured not only as a training aircraft but also as a platform capable of conducting tactical and reconnaissance operations, making it the successor to the aging L-39C Albatros.

The jump will be carried out from a Dornier 228 aircraft, with the parachutists flying as close as half a meter to each other while reaching speeds of over 190 kilometers per hour. The entire precision performance will be accompanied by smoke effects.

Specifically, this is the most advanced F-16 BLOCK 70/72 variant, currently operated in Europe only by Slovakia. Out of a total of 14 aircraft, five have so far arrived from the United States, with the full squadron expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.

The scenario simulates a joint operation targeting an organized group engaged in cross-border criminal activity, particularly involving the illegal transport of goods and smuggling of narcotic substances. The demonstration will showcase a coordinated intervention by both units, requiring precise cooperation, real-time information sharing, and a unified tactical approach. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the entire course of the operation – from the exchange of intelligence and surveillance of a suspect vehicle to the final intervention and apprehension of the offenders.

It is an adrenaline-filled experience in which, following a sudden breakdown of the escort bus, a group of armed attackers attempts to free their comrade. Thanks to the excellent training of the Prison Service officers, the threat is systematically neutralized. The operation is also supported by service dogs and their handlers. At the end of the demonstration, the entire convoy’s vehicles will be showcased in several passes, led by the escort buses used for coordinated prisoner transport.

Flying on unmodified PC-9M aircraft, their pilots are, unlike many other aerobatic teams, also military instructors.An additional aesthetic experience will be provided by smoke effects, which will further enhance the aerobatic performance of the six-member team, showcasing the professionalism and skill of the pilots led by Darko Belančić.

The TITUS KOVS is a wheeled armored vehicle designed to ensure communication and information transfer between command posts and units in the field. Built on a chassis from the Czech company Tatra Defense Vehicle, it offers high mobility and crew protection. It primarily supports command and control operations in the dynamic environment of the modern battlefield. The BVP-2 is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle of Soviet origin that served for many years as a primary means of transporting troops and providing fire support. Although now considered older equipment, it still performs important roles, especially in training and reserve units. The joint demonstration of these two very different vehicles will give visitors insight into the diverse roles of military equipment—both in direct combat and in command and communication support.

During the demonstration, they will showcase their ability to operate professionally and smoothly in a highly stressful environment where the lives of innocent people are at stake.

During this segment, three different aircraft from the elite 311° Gruppo Volo — the Italian Air Force’s experimental unit focused on testing aircraft capabilities — will perform. The block will open with the debut of the M-346A trainer and light attack aircraft. Pilot Del Nero Dario will take the controls and, in an approximately ten-minute display, demonstrate the flight characteristics and excellent maneuverability of this new twin-engine aircraft.

Despite its large size, it will put on a dynamic aerobatic show thanks to the perfectly trained teamwork of pilots Buscemi Francesco and Civico Giuseppe. In terms of dimensions, it is comparable to the Czech C‑295M Casa and serves in operations of a similar nature. Visitors will be able to compare this performance with that of the larger German transport aircraft, the A‑400M Atlas, which, like the Spartan, is notable for its high maneuverability relative to its size.

This twin-engine supersonic multirole fighter is renowned for the thunderous roar of its engines. A unique aspect of the Italian F-2000A display — as with all Italian aircraft presented this year — is that, unlike the usual practice of having a single display pilot for the season, several specially trained pilots from the elite 311° take turns flying it. At our event, it will be flown by Nucciarelli Mattia.

It will be presented in a dedicated display by BAE Systems. The CV90 will play a key role in modernizing the Czech heavy brigade, serving as a tracked armored vehicle capable of carrying up to 8 fully armed soldiers and then providing them with fire support. The Czech Army is set to gradually receive 246 units in 7 different variants by 2030.

In an approximately ten‑minute flight display, display pilot Fabio “BOOGER” Bogane plans to perform the characteristic ‘hover’ maneuver, during which the entire aircraft stops in mid‑air. A second Harrier, in the two‑seat trainer version TAV‑8B, can be viewed up close by visitors in the static display area. By sending this aircraft to our event, Italy elevates the presentation of Special partner nation to a new level, making this the crowning moment of the Italian block of dynamic displays.

They will carry out a coordinated attack on enemy positions, breaking through defensive lines and then demonstrating the treatment and evacuation of a wounded soldier from combat. The display will feature the retiring BVP-2 vehicles and the brand-new H-1 system aircraft from the 22nd Helicopter Air Base, making their very first appearance at NATO Days. The “acoustic cannon” LRAD will provide the psychological warfare element.

Flying their nine-ship formation on Hawk T.1 aircraft, they will deliver a precise aerobatic display with smoke effects in the colors of the United Kingdom’s flag. The entire team consists of more than 100 members, divided into the “Blues,” made up of ground crew and engineers, and the “Reds,” the highly trained pilots with extensive Air Force experience. The pilots themselves rank among the very elite of the RAF, most having flown several aircraft throughout their careers, including the Eurofighter Typhoon. This year, they will perform under the leadership of Squadron Leader Jon Bond.

A pair of Czech W-3A Sokol helicopters will perform a unique routine combining aerobatics, rescue elements, and flawless pilot coordination. At the controls will be Lieutenant Colonel and 243rd Squadron Commander Petr Šafařík alongside Major Antonín Petrů, who secured 1st place in the “DISPLAY Overseas Participants” category at this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025. For the Sokols, this will also be their very last public performance before their planned retirement.

The aim of this presentation is to provide the general public with insight into the specific challenges and risks that customs officers face on a daily basis in the performance of their duties. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the procedures involved in the pursuit, interception, and subsequent intervention carried out by the armed units of the Customs Administration.

The sixth display pilot of the Gripen in the history of the Czech Air Force will once again showcase the aircraft’s design limits in an attractive demonstration. This year, it will appear in a special color scheme celebrating 20 years of JAS-39 service in the Czech Air Force.

It will replace the Soviet-era T-72M4CZ and complement the older Leopard 2A4s already in service. Thanks to KNDS, it will be showcased in a dedicated demonstration. Its design combines powerful firepower, agility, and crew protection. With this step, the Czech Republic joins the large family of Leopard 2 users and will receive its 44 newest 2A8s by 2031.

The upgrade was carried out specifically at the request of the Czech Air Force before deployment in Afghanistan, with its tasks focused mainly on transporting troops and equipment. It is also capable of carrying paratroopers, having previously featured in the program during a joint Czech-Polish parachute jump with national flags. This year’s demonstration will be performed by Captain Vojtěch Holička.

The team itself flies supersonic NF-5 fighter jets, ensuring the originality and uniqueness of their performance. They last appeared at NATO Days in 2013, and this year they promise a spectacular show!

The action-packed scenario begins with the arrival of a multirole Mi-171Š helicopter deploying troops. After fast-roping from the helicopter, ground forces launch an operation to break through enemy positions and free the captive. Once the mission is successfully completed, the unit, together with the rescued person, departs to safety.

Renowned for its exceptional maneuverability, it repeatedly wins the admiration of not only aviation fans. In the air, it will be presented by Captain Jean-Brice “MIMOUSS” Milet. On the static display, visitors can also view Rafale’s predecessor – the Mirage 2000-5, showcased in Greek colors.

Visitors will have a unique opportunity to witness firsthand how illegal border crossings are detected, smugglers apprehended, and professional intervention carried out by specially trained units of the Alien Police. The demonstration faithfully simulates real-life situations that officers regularly encounter in the field and highlights the use of modern technology, inter-agency cooperation, and the ability to respond swiftly to crisis situations.

Michael “BAMBAM” Schaudienst will take control and, in a ten-minute demonstration, showcase the flight capabilities of his aircraft powered by its two thunderous engines. Visitors will also have the chance to compare it with the earlier performance of the Italian F-2000A.
